Let's face it. We are not cat owners; cats own us. It's easy for our furry friends to run our household. I mean, look at how cute they are! Whatever they want, they can convince us to give it to them. All it takes is a slow blink, a gentle rub on the legs, and a cuddle on the couch to melt us. We are eager to do their bidding.
This is especially relevant when it comes to where our fur kids sleep. How many times have you been in bed or napping on the couch, and your cat was sprawled out somewhere that made your sleep uncomfortable? How hard is it to move a perfectly sleeping cat? You know the answer, it's horrible. The guilt! They really have it made with us.
There is a cat on TikTok who perfectly explained this phenomenon. Her name is Ellie. She is an adorable, tiny orange tabby kitten. Her dad showed off how she controls his life with the most adorable video.
In the video, the popular sound we've all heard while scrolling the app: "And for the lady, perhaps a salad?" Which is, of course, followed up with a woman saying no, she'd rather have the steak. Ellie's dad used this audio perfectly. He showed how his cat refuses any other bed but his human's.
He holds up a perfectly nice cat bed. It clearly hasn't been used. He gestures to Ellie with the bed, mouthing the words, "and for the lady, perhaps a salad?" The camera then flashes to precious Ellie, curled up in her human's bed.
