Golden Retriever Pleads Innocence After Mysterious Hole Appears in Rug – Yahoo
We’ve all been there: You come home from work, and your sweet pup is waiting by the door to greet you. As you move through the living room, something feels off—but you can’t quite put your finger on it.
In a recent TikTok video, one adorable Golden Retriever relies on her good looks and sweet face to plead her innocence when Dad discovers a small hole in the edge of the living room rug. To be fair, the hole was definitely noticeable, but the pup was just too cute!
The clip, posted by @ayaimahretrievers, begins with a close-up of the floor, showing a clear triangular—or “dog mouth”—shaped chunk taken out of the area rug. The removed piece lies nearby, and the caption simply reads, “Who did this?”
Dad then pans the camera to the doorway, where his cream-colored Golden Retriever is trying her hardest not to smile. It’s her classic “I’m innocent” look. While her involvement seems highly suspicious, it’s impossible to deny her charm, and the jury is still out on whether she’s guilty… or just adorable.
The comment section quickly came to her defense. One commenter joked, “I don't see you… you don't see me… so let's leave it at that!” Another suggested an alternative suspect: “Looks pretty innocent to us… check with the neighbor’s cat!” Even a fellow Golden stepped up, saying, “As their lawyer, my client was clearly framed!” Definitely a believable defense.
