Bulldog and Mastiff mix named Buddy is so ugly, he's cute | Forgotten Friends

NEW BRAUNFELS, Texas — Our "Forgotten Friends" series showcases a dog or cat each week that has spent time at an area shelter, just waiting for someone to notice them and bring them home to love.
This week’s Forgotten Friend is Buddy, a five-year-old Bulldog and Mastiff mix that was first brought to the Humane Society in New Braunfels (HSNBA) by a good Samaritan back in October 2025 after being found as a stray.
Buddy gets along great with other dogs, and the shelter believes he would also get along with cats. He hasn't actually met any cats yet, but he is super easygoing so they are sure he would get along with them.
"Buddy has been great with other dogs while in our care," said shelter staff. "He has been a 'Playgroup Superstar' because he has done so well with dogs of all shapes, sizes, and temperament."
Buddy really likes treats and craves human interaction. He's healthy, current on all of his vaccinations and has already been neutered.
