Library Mews: Lyra and Magic – Middlebury College

Enjoy cute pet photos with us and get to know the staff working in Davis Family Library. Library Mews has expanded to include all animals, but you’ll still see plenty of cats. 

Fun facts: Lyra was secretly pregnant when Rachel bought her fall 2024, and she had her baby as if by magic!  When Lyra’s not busy being a new mama, she’s a brave and smart trail-pony-in-training who loves adventure. 

If she had a library card…Rough magic : riding the world’s loneliest horse race an exciting memoir about little horses running and running and running!

Fun facts: Magic was a surprise foal, born unexpectedly one night. One day, she’ll be a very nice riding horse. For now, she just gets to frolic! Magic was born brown and turned black over time!  

If she had a library card… Justin Morgan Had a Horse by Marguerite Henry, the story of a backyard-bred horse with a big legacy.
