'Pet Platypus' Greeting Mom Is the Cutest Thing We've Seen All Week – Yahoo

I’ve been writing about pets and animals for more than three years, but one animal I’ve never had the chance to write about, or even come across on TikTok, is a platypus. So when I stumbled upon this adorable video of a "pet" platypus named Pippy, I knew I had to share it.

Make sure your sound is on, because the little noises Pippy makes are guaranteed to make you smile. The video starts with Mom calling for Pippy to come, and his tiny pitter-patter across the floor, followed by his sweet greeting when he sees her, completely melted my heart!

@Stacy spoke for all of us when she shared, "I was not emotionally prepared for the noise a baby platypus makes." Neither were we!

Everybody fell in love with Pippy, and I'm sure that I wasn't the only one Googling to see if it's legal to keep a platypus as a pet!

Of course, nobody was surprised when questions about whether Pippy was AI or real started popping up. @Rhonda asked, "I have to ask, we’re all just pretending, right? Everyone knows, right?" @Dana Paul spoke for all of us when she said, "We don't know know, but we know…"
