Children who want to get up close to cute companions including guinea pigs, hamsters, and gerbils are able to book in for a visit to the Greenock store.
Staff at the store have been working with groups of youngsters to help them learn about the importance of looking after animals correctly and caring for them properly.
When the Telegraph popped into the store to see one of the workshops taking place, Pets at Home mascot Robbie the Dog was supervising the session.
“We speak about guinea pigs, gerbils, hamsters, fish, and wild birds, and talk about how to look after animals properly and the importance of treating animals well.”
Stevie said the store works with bigger groups of youngsters at other times in the year to help young learners from Brownies and Cubs gain their badges in animal care.
