Friday, Feb. 20 was National Love Your Pet Day, serving a reminder of all the happy times owners have shared with their pets.

"My favorite with my pet was when I first met my dog Molly. I grew really close, really quickly with her and it was a really good time."

"My favorite memory out of all the pets my family has had over the year was when one time my bunny got out of the little indoor outdoor area. The neighbors dog somehow got into the enclosure and somehow got my bunny in his mouth. It was a hunting dog so he didn't hurt my bunny. He was just carrying it. The bunny was freaked out and I had to help my dad and my brother get the bunny out of the dog's mouth for about an hour. It was an interesting day. We took it to the vet to make sure there were no injuries and the bunny was fine." 

"My favorite of my pet was from this morning when I was sad and I didn't want to go to class because I was so sleepy. She came in running – she's a little black chihuahua – and she rolled over so I pet her. She's so cute."

"My favorite memory with my pet was probably the day I got my cat. Her name is Maple. I got her from the animal shelter. I knew I wanted her before I even saw her. When I got her she was so sweet, but she also ignored me, which makes her the perfect mix of what I wanted. She knows when she wants attention and she knows when she wants to be left alone."
