Looking for a purr-fect outing that combines animals, snacks, and a whole lot of heart? Animal cafés are a unique family experience, where guests can sip, snuggle, and perhaps meet their future pet. Keep in mind that most cat cafes require children under age 12 to be accompanied by an adult. Whether you’re a cat lover or curious about more exotic animals, here’s everything to know before you go, plus the best animal cafés in Orlando.

Most cat cafés follow a similar setup: There’s the café side, where you can grab drinks and light bites; and a separate animal lounge where you interact with animals. Patrons usually need to pay an entry fee and/or reserve a time slot to visit the animals. 

Many of these businesses partner with local rescue groups, so the animals in the cafe are often adoptable. In fact, helping animals find homes is a big part of the mission! Visits typically last 30-60 minutes and include time to play, cuddle, and relax with the animals.
