Golden Retriever's Hilarious 'Sandwich Alert' Shows Dogs Are Expert Communicators
Although dogs may not speak with words, they have plenty of ways to convey their feelings. Those soulful eyes, head tilts, and funny little sounds often reveal more than a sentence ever could.
For Lucie, the vocal Golden Retriever, her deep woofs almost sound like a language of their own. And even if you don’t speak dog fluently, you’ll get the drift of what she’s trying to say about this sandwich.
This girl is very funny! When Lucie (@lucieandkev) noticed a half-sandwich left behind on the kitchen counter, she wasted no time alerting her parents to the potential tragedy unfolding. After all, with the price of food these days, nothing should be wasted, and this Golden Retriever is apparently on the job as the CFO of this household.
Her wagging tail and soft whimpers worked perfectly, and then she let out three deep woofs that you could almost translate as, “That’s a sandwich.” After Mom came to check it out, Lucie’s happy little jump seemed to say she understood. Mission accomplished!
