Tyrese Gibson Turns Himself in, Charged with Animal Cruelty After Dogs Allegedly Killed
The actor, 46, turned himself in to police and was arrested on Friday, Oct. 3, after his four mastiff dogs allegedly mauled his neighbor’s pet to death weeks earlier.
Gibson was booked at the Fulton County Jail in Georgia and was charged with one count of cruelty to animals, according to online records.
He was previously given a deadline to turn himself in to authorities, who issued an arrest warrant, but he had failed to do so.
Last month, one or more of Gibson's mastiffs allegedly mauled a neighbor’s Cavalier King Charles Spaniel to death, police said.
Authorities issued a search warrant for Gibson’s property on Sept. 22, but the actor and the dogs were not there, Fox 5 Atlanta previously reported.
