Adorable Golden Retriever Puppy Brings the Sweetest Smiles to the Vet – Yahoo

A trip to the vet isn’t always a dog’s favorite outing. Some pups know the minute the car turns into the parking lot that it’s not the dog park, and they’ll put on the brakes before you even open the door. If you’ve ever had a dog who makes vet visits an Olympic event in avoidance, it may be hard to imagine one who actually enjoys them.

But Romeo, the adorable Golden Retriever Puppy, is proving that not all vet days have to be stressful. He’s living up to the breed’s reputation for being social and friendly, as he wagged his way through the visit and made everyone smile in the process.

That face is just too cute to handle. Romeo (@ourgoldenromeo) doesn’t look stressed in the slightest. Instead, he stretched into the perfect sploot across the counter, his tail wagging in joy. Whether he was in line for a shot or a blood draw didn’t seem to matter; he was more interested in soaking up the attention from the staff. His charm was on full display, with his happy tail swaying back and forth the entire time.

Fans fell hard for this cutie. @Jamestown joked, “Bro, I wanna reach through the phone and pet him.” Another added, “What a distinguished gentleman.” And @Ishita asked what every pet parent wants to know: “How do you get your pup to be so chill at the vet? Mine (also a Golden) is very hyper.”

According to the American Kennel Club, helping your dog feel calm at the vet starts long before you walk into the office. Regularly handling your pup’s paws, ears, and mouth at home helps them become comfortable with being examined.
