Pineywoods Pet Retreat, 1122 Edward’s Loop, offers dog and cat boarding for your fur-babies. Plus, they offer a fun atmosphere where your pet can be happy while you’re away.
“This job is important to me because I wanted a fun place for people to have to leave their dogs when they go out of town,” Emily Howell, owner, said. “I didn’t want boarding your dog to sound scary and sad. I wanted to prove to people that it could be comfortable, fun and exciting for everyone.”
“I’ve been showered with tons of support from the very beginning, and I could never show my true gratitude,” she said.
The retreat has been so busy that they have added onto the current building twice. Howell said because of its success, they have decided to open a second location in Huntington. It will be open in November on Ash Street, behind the post office.
Pineywoods Pet Retreat is $25 per day for dogs with an additional $10 per day for pet siblings. Cat boarding is $25 per day and $15 per day for sibling cats sharing a kennel.
