Mr. Drew said he aims to educate people about these animals and what it takes to care for them through events like school visits and at the center. 

When it comes to tortoises, Mr. Drew says many people think they will be easy pets, because they don’t require much work. But what people don't often consider is their long lifespan. He said they could easily outlive you, and finding someone to care for them to be challenging.
