Adorable dogs kept in dungeon for years now seek second chance | Bristol Live
A pair of dogs are looking for a second chance at life after a grim start. Jimmy and Hector, two German Shepherds, spent the first two years of their lives confined to a dungeon-like room with "four walls, no view, no air, and no life." Now around five years old, they were first found locked in a small, dark room with barely any sunlight, never allowed outside and largely forgotten by the world until Miracle's Mission intervened.
Rescue worker Emma shared her sympathy for the unfortunate dogs and revealed how their misfortune didn't stop even after they had been rescued. She said: "Their back story is also particularly harrowing as they were kept in a dungeon for the first two years of their life.
"We rescued them from here two years ago and they have blossomed so much but they have had two adoptions fall through and really need to start their new lives now."
Described as "loving, friendly boys", Jimmy and Hector weigh a combined 80kgs but still have puppy-like personalities despite their traumatic past. However, due to their size, finding them a new home has been challenging.
"Surprisingly, despite their isolation they are loving dogs, they love their humans. They are child, dog and cat tested.
