(WTAJ) — An alert was issued by the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) for a certain ground beef that’s been sold in Pennsylvania.

While the grass-fed ground beef is no longer for sale, officials worry it may still be in people’s freezers. The alert comes after two complaints were received regarding a foreign material, specifically metal, being found in the beef.

The product bears establishment number “EST 34729” inside the USDA mark of inspection and is stamped on the back with “105761 Sell by 03/19/26.” This item was shipped to a distributor, and Mom’s Organic Markets retail locations in D.C., Mass., Md., N.J., Pa. and Va.

FSIS stated there are no confirmed reports of injury due to the product; however, they urge anyone who may have it in their freezers to throw it away or return it to its place of purchase.

An actual recall was not issued due to the fact that the item is no longer available for sale, but consumers are urged to check their freezers.
