Basset Hound-Pit Bull Mix Has 'Patience of a Saint' With Playful Corgi Sibling and It's the Sweetest
My Pug mix is definitely the more playful of my two dogs. He loves to roughhouse, fetch toys, and would much rather run when we go out for what's supposed to be a walk. His senior Dachshund sister is more refined and tranquil. She's a good deal older than her baby brother so she's slowed down over the years, though she's always had a more composed demeanor. When her fur baby sibling wants to play with her, she either engages when she feels like some recreation or politely lets him know she'd rather chill.
In the TikTok from @darth889, the Basset mix was enjoying some down time on the couch. His sister clearly had other ideas on how to spend the day and kept jumping up by Darth's head, hoping to get him to play with her.
The comfy canine stayed put and showed no signs of wanting to interrupt his R&R. At one point, it seemed like Sandy took the hint and stayed back for a bit, only to give it another try by bouncing near her brother.
Darth was a perfect gentleman throughout the scene. He simply wagged his tail and politely remained in his resting position.
