Costco Just Dropped 4 Huge 'Cute' But Tough Dog Toys—And Pet Parents Are Stocking Up

Tough dog toys are hard to nail down, especially if you have a young pup who needs to naw or an adult dog who's mastered the art of super chewing. Most of the time stuffies of any kind are off the table, unless you enjoy cleaning up the trail of f fluff that covers your floor like a recent snowstorm within minutes of your dog locking his jaws on it. Generally, this unpleasant phenomenon leads dog parents to seek other alternatives like Kong's tough dog toys or something from Outward Hound's expansive collection.

But it's hard to resist soft, plush dog toys, especially when they are just downright adorable. Costco always comes through for dog parents with its myriad of adorable and affordable selections. Equally reliable, the Instagram account Costco Buys always makes sure they alert their followers to stellar deals. Once again, they have come through with the most delightful, stuffy. It's not only a great price ($12.99), but it's also rated for tough chewers.

The adorable plushies from Zeus come in four different safari animals: a grey rhino, a blue elephant, a yellow giraffe, and a pink warthog. The best part- they are considered tough for those heavy chewers in your life. They are perfect for medium to large dogs, and the quilted fabric provides a tough canvas for your pups to leave their teeth marks.

The toy's toughness is thanks to a triple-layer design. Beneath the soft, well-stitched exterior is a mesh fabric, while the next layer is a sturdy ballistic nylon liner. It's going to take a lot of time and dedication to get through those two materials. Buried deep underneath the multiple layers of fabric and stuffing is a squeaker that your pup will likely go after for hours.

On a recent trip to my local Costco, I found all four of these safari stuffies and I have to say, they are most definitely cuties. It was hard to walk away from all four of those adorable faces. But, alas, our heavy chewer has an excellent track record of destroying stuffed toys in a matter of minutes- no matter how well-rated they are, so we passed. I will say the stitching felt fairly heavy-duty, and they were pretty solid stuffed toys.
