Dog Found Alone And Freezing On New Year's Day In West Hartford: Animal Control – Patch

WEST HARTFORD, CT — The local animal control department has a cute canine in custody who was found in the cold late on New Year's Day.
According to West Hartford Animal Control, the female dog — who appears to be a mixed breed — was found outside near Fern Street and Fernbel Lane.
Officials said the dog doesn't have a "chip scanner," which is a way to ID lost dogs and, as a result, the canine, as of early this week, is still in town custody.
