A single lot of chicken-chip dog treats sold in five states has tested positive for Salmonella and has been pulled from shelves.
The affected bags carry the lot number 24045 and an April 2027 expiration date, narrowing the risk to one clearly marked batch.
After a third-party laboratory detected Salmonella in a related unreleased lot, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) documented the contamination and issued the recall notice.
That finding tied the concern to the same production line, linking the confirmed contamination to treats already circulating in stores.
