The U.S. Food & Drug Administration is warning the public not to feed their dogs certain kinds of Raaw Energy dog food due to contamination with harmful bacteria, according to a post on the FDA's website.
Eight kinds of Raaw Energy dog food tested positive for listeria monocytogenes, salmonella, and campylobacter jejuni, the FDA said.
Consumers who have purchased Raaw Energy products are urged to check packaging for affected date codes before feeding the food to their pets.
The impacted products include various sizes and date codes of chicken medley, salmon, beef chicken medley, beef turkey medley, and beef chicken tripe medley. A full list of affected products and codes is available on the FDA's website.
