In many ways, pets are like our children. They need lots of food, love, and attention. Sometimes they make messes, and we're the ones to clean up after them.

One German Shepherdis reminding us of a teenager. Check out this TikTok clip in which Koda, a super-sweet Rescue Dog, is sprawled across the couch like he just got in from a wild night. Too funny!

But now it looks like he doesn't have a care in the world. Look at how his paws are up and his legs are spread. It's the ultimate dog relaxation pose.

Dog parents often dread hearing that thunderstorms are rolling through their area. Plenty of pups panic during storms. Experts suggest ways to keep your pet calm during wind, rain, and thunder. First, stay calm yourself, and use a soothing tone with your pet. Second, close the windows and turn on a TV or fan to block a bit of the noise. Third, consider a thunder shirt or wrapping your pet in a weighted blanket, if they're not expressing aggression. Fourth, if you know a storm is coming, try to tire your pet out before the bad weather hits in the hope that they may sleep through part or all of it.

Look at this sweet pup slumbering away. It makes you wonder how many hours of sleep a dog needs per day. The answer: 12 to 14. Wow, sounds nice, doesn't it? Though with that schedule, it would be hard to accomplish much.
