Golden Retriever Puppy Falling Asleep After First Bath Is So Adorable and Wholesome
Golden retriever puppies are some of the cutest and most wholesome creatures on the planet. And TikTok user @rigstheretriever took that to another level by publishing a 60-second montage documenting their new Golden puppy's first bath at home. As an aside, we give so many cuteness kudos for the puppy's name, Rigatoni. Bravo.
The TikTok starts with Rigatoni's parent carrying him to the bathroom, where a sudsy bath awaits him. They start by placing him in the water, letting him get acquainted with it and the situation, before pouring water over the rest of his body. Rigatoni perks up quite a bit and starts playing in the water after getting wet. Then comes all of the lathering and massaging, giving Rigatoni a puppy spa day.
But the best is yet to come, as Rigatoni seems exhausted from the first bathing experience. His eyes start to get heavy as his parent dries him off. And before he can make it much further, he falls asleep wrapped in a towel on his parent's lap. The last 15 or so seconds of the video are simply Rigatoni, passed out hard, getting a blow-dry. It is seriously so sweet and adorable.
Or, as TikTok user @April said in the comments, "Omg, sleeping while being dried is the sweetest thing ever." We totally agree. "Not to be dramatic, but I'd literally do anything for that baby," TikTok user @Maya Ebejer said in the comments. Again, we totally agree. "Does Rigatoni even know he's real?! Giving your puppy their first bath after you bring them home is a big deal. To make sure it goes well for you and your dog, be sure to prep properly. Rigatoni's parent did an excellent job in setting a good example. She had the bath water running, the shampoo ready, and the towels ready. We also recommend having some treats on hand. It's also good to place your dog gently in the water and just let them stand and sit in it for a bit, so they can get used to it, just like Rigatoni's parents did.
