GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — This week’s featured adoptable pets from the Kent County Animal Shelter are two cats: a beauty queen and a friendly companion.

Lizzy may be six years old, but she still enjoys running around and playing with her catnip toys. The beautiful white cat may be lacking a tail, but that doesn’t stop her from lounging around and keeping an eye on her shelter friends.

Black-and-white S’more is a great companion cat looking for his forever home, too. He loves company and some of his favorite things to do are cuddle up with a human friend, play with wand toys and, of course, eating. The “big lug,” is talkative, playful and loving.

Shelter workers said he would do best in home where he’s the center of attention, and with people who really understand cat body language.

“When he gets to see you again after some time apart, you can see the joy sparkle in his beautiful green eyes,” Shelter Director Angela Hollinshead said.
