OROVILLE, Calif. — Every dog owner insists their pet is the cutest around — but in Oroville, that claim is being put to the test.
The annual “Pooch Playoffs” are back, featuring 27 dogs and, for the first time, five cats, rounding out a field of 32 furry contestants competing for the title of cutest in Butte County.
“She’s just a little lover, she’s very cute, very photogenic, loves her mom,” said Jessica Hewitt of her dog Sadie.
“He loves to play, and he just wants to be your best friend, and he always wants to be around you,” said Jen Garlinghouse about Boots.
“London is a rescue. He’s a Flame Point Siamese, and he’s just an all-around good cat,” said Guy and Nicole Taylor.
