Precious Goldendoodle Asks Mom for 'Uppies' Just Like a Human Child – Yahoo
Ask most dog parents and they’ll be quick to tell you their precious pup is as much a part of the family as their other humans. Spend time with a well-cared-for pooch and it’ll be clear that dog thinks it’s an equal (if not more important) member of the family. For one Goldendoodle, being part of the family means being his human mom’s first baby—which means acting like one, too.
In a heartwarming post shared to social media, a Miami-based new mom shares an adorable interaction with her “first baby,” her gorgeous Goldendoodle. When she walks in the door, the dog can be seen standing on his hind legs waiting to be picked up like a toddler. In previous videos, mom can be seen responding to the dog’s request with sweet belly rubs, having no idea the dog is begging for “uppies,” the universal language from little ones who want to be picked up.
In this video, the doting dog and human mom responds to a commenter’s suggestion that what the dog wants is to be picked up and held like a toddler. She sweetly responds and picks up the pup, who is clearly content to nestle in her arms like a human baby.
Commenters call the dog “an actual teddy bear,” while others noted “my heart is full” and “I can sleep now.” Clearly this dog has some very empathetic fans online rooting for him to get his requested “uppies.”
At first glance, one might wonder if it’s safe for this glowing Goldendoodle to stand on its hind legs. It’s common in the breed, who are known to stand on their hind legs as a show of excitement or affection. Curious by nature, Goldendoodles are also known to stand on their hind legs to get a better view and will even use the posture when playing with humans and other dogs.
