Puppy With Traumatic Brain Injury 'Takes World by Storm' With His Miraculous Recovery … – Yahoo
Rescues see more than their fair share of ups and downs. They are one of the first ones called when an animal is found, whether they have been abandoned, lost, or even hit by a moving vehicle. It doesn't matter if the animals are hiding on the streetside or barely holding on to life; rescues take care of the creatures, giving them the time and attention they deserve.
One rescue prides itself on giving every animal the respect and care that others do not. Happy Doggo is a UK-based rescue and charity organization striving to address the global street dog crisis. Founder Nail Harbison works tirelessly to give as many street dogs as possible the chance they deserve. One pup, lucky enough to come into their care, has captivated the hearts of many while making miraculous strides towards recovery.
The pup named Storm, which is a rather fitting name given his impact thus far, was hit by a car on the road and left. A kind man took the dog to a vet, who told him that the pup wouldn't make it due to severe brain trauma, and the best thing to do would be to euthanize him. Since the man didn't have the funds to do so, he took him home to care for him until he passed.
After a few days, Happy Doggo was called and took in the pup. The heartwrenching story is outlined on Harbison's Substack and in a viral video on the organization's TikTok page. The veterinarian, Dr. Singh, wasn't so quick to give up on the pup. Instead, he told Harbison to give Storm time.
Slowly, but surely, they began to see improvement. From Storm beginning to eat to him eventually taking his first steps, every day he displayed signs of improvement. His first steps were wobbly, but he didn't let that stand in his way. He continued trying.
