'Scary Cute' Pets Take Center Stage At Hillsborough County Pet Resource Center

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. – Pet lovers are in for a treat this Saturday as the Hillsborough County Pet Resource Center (PRC) hosts its annual “Paw-loween” event, featuring adoptable animals, a pet costume contest, and the welcome news of waived adoption fees.
The festive event, which will run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, October 25, is a celebration designed to help hundreds of “scary cute” dogs and cats find their forever homes.
A highlight of the day will be a costume contest for PRC pets, set to begin at 2 p.m. Visitors can also join in the holiday spirit by “trick-or-treating” at decorated trunks hosted by various local pet rescue groups and organizations. A festive photo booth will also be available for capturing fall memories with family and friends.
In a significant effort to clear the shelter and place animals with loving families, all adoption fees will be waived for the entire day on Saturday.
The Pet Resource Center, located at 440 N. Falkenburg Rd., Tampa, FL 33619, is Hillsborough County’s only open-admissions shelter. This means it takes in stray animals regardless of their age, breed, or size.
