Senior Golden Retriever Braving His New Home's Stairs Is Making Everyone Emotional
Sometimes, bravery happens in small steps, and that is the case for senior golden retriever Senior Boy Bruce (@seniorboybruce on TikTok), who recently conquered his fear of his new home's steps.
The courageous pup was adopted last October by a couple, who shared that Bruce was actually rescued from a puppy mill and had never lived in a home beforehand. As such, the poor little guy was completely terrified of his new house's staircase!
Since Bruce's moms' bedroom was upstairs, they decided to spend the first two and a half months sleeping right next to Bruce as he acclimated to his new life. Paw-rents of the year, if you ask me. Apparently, whenever his parents would go upstairs to get ready for bed, he'd cry and wait for them downstairs. Cue the tears!
However, Bruce began to grow more and more comfortable in his new home, and his confidence began to increase, too. Slowly but surely, Bruce began to brave the stairs.
TikTok is so beyond proud of Bruce's bravery. The inspiring video has garnered over 411 thousand views, over 75 thousand likes, 656 comments and 1836 saves. TikTok couldn't get enough of this sweet senior golden retriever, especially since he carried around his beloved Lamb Chop toy the entire time.
