You need to make sure you have time to have one as a pet, as you will need to provide them with various enrichment games and activities. You'll also have to make sure you feed them the proper diet of pellets, fresh vegetables and fruits."

Besides being your pet bird's caretaker, it's important that you deveope a friendship and bond with them because birds thrieve when they have a good human buddy. “A lot of birds do well with people and enjoy human attention,” Harrison says. So, if you’re looking for companionship, a bird can be a good choice. Harrison just warns about making sure to still dote on your bird if you start a new relationship. Otherwise, “bad habits can develop,” she says.
