The Wonder Pets are returning to the big city for another season of musical adventures. After a breakout first season on Apple TV, Wonder Pets: In the City continues to win the hearts of their littlest fans. Kids and parents can look forward to new adventures with Izzy the Guinea Pig, Tate the Snake, and Suri the Bunny as they embark on more rescue missions from their home base in a New York City kindergarten classroom. 

The new trailer for the Emmy Award-winning animated show just dropped, and its creator spoke exclusively with Parents about what viewers can expect from the beloved preschool series this season.

At the heart of Wonder Pets: In the City are universal themes that are digestible for kindergarten-age kids. Season 2 storylines celebrate curiosity, friendship, kindness, teamwork, and appreciating the unique gifts and talents that make each person special. 

Jennifer Oxley, the show’s creator and executive producer, wants children to learn that working together is a superpower. Just like Izzy, Tate, and Zuri, when we combine our strengths with others, we can achieve amazing things we may not be able to do alone. 

“I hope children come away understanding that kindness makes a difference, that listening is important, and that everyone has something valuable to contribute,” Oxley continues. “When we make space for different voices and work together, we’re stronger, more creative, and capable of making a real difference.”
