NEW YORK (WPIX) — More food items have been added to a nationwide recall that involves millions of pounds of food sold nationwide in stores, including Trader Joe’s, according to a Food and Drug Administration notice.
Ajimoto Foods North America Inc. has announced it is recalling around 9,885,240 pounds of Trader Joe’s Vegetable Fried Rice due to the presence of “foreign objects.”
The affected product was distributed in 43 states, including Alaska, Alabama, Arkansas, Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Mississippi, Montana, North Carolina, North Dakota, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Nevada, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington, Wisconsin and Wyoming.

The nationwide recall already included Trader Joe’s Chicken Fried Rice with stir-fried rice, vegetables, seasoned dark chicken meat, and eggs, and Trader Joe’s Chicken Shu Mai.
