Howl-O-Ween Pet Parade Happening in Hoboken on 10/25
We may associate Halloween with its dress-up costumes and candy treats, but it’s also a great time to connect our communities to raise awareness. Hoboken Community Center is using this opportunity for just that — its 4th annual “Howl-O-Ween” pet costume contest and parade, scheduled for October 25th at Sinatra Park, will be hosted in support of the HCC Pantry Programs and to raise awareness around pet food insecurity. Read on for more information on the “Howl-O-Ween” pet costume contest and parade, and how to get involved with the Hoboken pet community.
“Howl-O-Ween” is a dog costume contest hosted by Hoboken Community Center and will occur on Saturday, October 25th from 3:30PM–5PM at the Sinatra Park Amphitheater. The parade portion of the event will start at 3:30PM before judges take stage at 4PM.
Dog owners are encouraged to dress their pets up in cute, seasonal costumes for participation in the contest. Early bird registration is also available on Eventbrite and encouraged due to limited contestant entries. Early bird purchases will be discounted at $20 until October 24th, after which $25 General Admission tickets will become the only option for purchase. Owners are limited to one pet per registration.
This event welcomes sponsors, food and beverage cart participants, pet vendors, nonprofit tabling volunteers, and donors for contest prizes. Funds from the event will also be used to support the HCC Pantry Program, helping pets in need of resources and food. The Hoboken Community Center team encourages that any inquires go to their Instagram at @hobokencommunitycenter or email at [email protected].
