Vicky Champagne photographs a dog at her Port Perry studio. She is seeking dogs from the Durham region to be featured in the third volume of her series of charitable coffee-table books “Who’s Your Doggy.”

Port Perry-based pet photographer Vicky Champagne is assembling a coffee table book that will feature dogs from throughout Durham region. All of the sales proceeds from “Who’s Your Doggy.” Vol. 3 will go toward the Humane Society of Durham Region.

Dogs that make it into the book will have their professional portrait featured alongside a story written by Champagne from the dog’s perspective.

“Of all the dogs that I’ve photographed for these books, not one has had the same personality,” said Champagne. “There’s a lot to tell about dogs. The words I hear often from my clients are, ‘My dog changed my life.’”

Champagne has previously released volumes in the “Who’s Your Doggy” series, which features dogs from Toronto and Kawartha Lakes. The third volume in the series will highlight dogs from Durham region, where Champagne lives and works.
