Massive Attack on Ukraine Leaves Hundreds of Thousands Without Power During Coldest Winter

The repeated attacks by Russian forces on Ukraine's energy grid has resulted in power outages across the country. Drones rained down again early Monday morning cutting off power to five regions across Ukraine. Hundreds of thousands are left without power during one of the coldest winters ever as temperatures drop well below zero overnight.
A state of emergency has been declared for the country's energy sector as the brutal strikes continue. "Emergency repair work is underway if the security situation allows," states the energy ministry.
Scheduled power outages are in place which means that the few areas where power is still available only receive power for a couple hours a day.
